How deep can viruses go!?

Technology.....

Online it's grown rapidly, there is a lot of scary stuff online. You could spend $1000 on a brand new set up and boom, you're computer get's killed by a virus.

So my question is.....

In ten years.... How hard will hackers and viruses be to get rid of... Think if we start Igoggle and stuff and those start getting viruses, how bad will they be in the future?

Its' a game of cat-and-mouse; every time someone comes up w/a hack or a new virus or malicious program, someone comes up w/a way to stop it (and vice-versa).
