How many days can you go without sleeping?

I could probably last about 36 hours, not that I'd have any reason to stay up that long! Think the longest I've probably stayed up in the last few years has been if I'm ill and can't sleep or when I've been travelling.
 
I went thru a very severe period of insomnia years ago. I was literally awake for 3 days. And, no i did not nod off or even get any cat naps. And my blood pressure skyrocketed to like 220/115. I went to the Dr and he put on BP med immediately and gave me some sleeping pills. But, did not want to stay on either of those. So once I got that insomnia period over , i got back in shape and was able to come off the pills.
 
I could probably do an overnighter as a teen but I get so tired these days. Before I became a diabetic I wouldn't get so tired :(
 
Maybe a day or two but I wouldn't be having a good time during.
 
I've gone about 30 hours without sleep and could've gone longer. It was on a road trip from home to southern California. The timing from waking up to actually leaving coupled with my inability to fall asleep in a car made it very difficult to get rest. It was not fun, but I can do it.

I'm terrified of flying. It would take A LOT of Xanax to convince me to do that. I have flown before, and flown internationally. I just had a very jarring flight once that really ruined it for me.

Well I've been a couple car accidents but I still drive. :shrug:
