Oh, yes, that too. My "one day" answer was based on when I WANTED to get online but the power was out.

I wasn't a fan, that's for sure. I'm super introverted irl, the internet, forums, that's where I can be me...to lose that was pretty awful.

around 13 I got it and been connected ever since

You must have excellent uptime with your internet provider. Where I used to live it went down for days a couple times.

It has a bunch of hiccups, but I don't think it ever went down for an extended period of time.

When I moved into my previous house we were there for a week before we had the internet connected. I was on leave from work for the weak too haha. So I ended up watching DVDs, playing games offline and I read 3 books. Only time in over a decade I read 3 books within a week. 😂😂

Same here, I had internet back in the dial up days for free when NetZero and Juno were a thing. Then those died off and I had to choose between cable TV and the internet. I chose cable TV. The internet sucked back then anyway. Boooooooring.
