Usually, quite a while as I am focused on enjoying the game for as long as possible rather than just trying to complete it as soon as possible. I do not see the fun in the latter! Sure it is nice to get all those accomplishments, but you've paid a lot of money for the game, what are you supposed to do when you've reached the end of it?
An RPG 2-3 months, a short game, like a week or two. Just depends how long it is.
Honestly it depends on the genre of game and my mood. If it's a RPG it's definitely going to take longer than say a platformer. I also don't often keep going back to the same game to finish it, there's tons of games I've started and have yet to actually beat and pick up again.
