NOT when it can be sold then they can get a cheaper phone and be left with enough for their hardship reason. If they're in extreme hardship as they say they are.
Right, poor people aren't allowed to have nice things.

Not eating out is my kryptonite. But, I understand where you're coming from.I've seen people on welfare with a brand new $1400 iphone before. If you really want something you can move your money around and prioritize things to make it happen. For example if you ate nothing but top ramen and didn't eat out or have any fast food then you could throw more money at a forum.![]()

But you wouldn't do that every night? So it's not that bad.Not eating out is my kryptonite. But, I understand where you're coming from.
I'm trying to force myself into more of that habit, but it's tough when you've eaten out almost your whole adulthood. You'd spend a lot less money if you just went grocery shopping and made meals at home![]()

Just count the costs for a week of eating out.I'm trying to force myself into more of that habit, but it's tough when you've eaten out almost your whole adulthood.
Just count the costs for a week of eating out.
Then only eat at home for week and count that cost.
That's what made me change.
And also back when I went out all the time, it seemed like you got better quality food and more in a serving.
Yup, so crazy nowadays! As much as eating at a sit down restaurant when/if you want fast food. McDonald's and so many others got more expensive. One thing that I was told and suggested by the editor on a food blog I wrote for is to focus on articles on cooking at home etc. That was a big one during the pandemic that'd get you views and all.And also back when I went out all the time, it seemed like you got better quality food and more in a serving.
Nowadays, it seems like the prices went up and quality and serving quantity went down.
They blame supply chain.
We still go out. We just choose Mom and Pop places because you get a better meal.
But we try to cook at home more times a week than go out.
Over the years? Hmm......probably close to $1,000-$1,500 total.
I'll spend some money for contest prizes, too.
