What's the dumbest thing you were paid to do and how much were you paid?

A medical lab chain launched a home blood testing kit for athletes. They were filming a promo video with a bunch of different athletes, runners, cyclists ,swimmers, etc. I was the swimmer in the video. I got paid $400 to swim laps/take photos for about 2 hours.

I've been ripped off before and the first time I was 13 when it happened. But I never did any odd jobs or really stupid jobs. I mowed my neighbors lawn for a whole month and didn't receive payment. My neighbors wanted me to mow their lawn because they told my dad they would pay me. I thought it would be cool and my dad was wanting me to do it anyway. That was 30 dollars for one day out of each week. After the first 2 weeks of seeing no money. I wanted to quit but my dad told me to do it the next week anyway. They owed me 120 dollars. I asked them when they were going to pay me and they were very evasive about their responses. Once they told me they would pay me but never gave me any money. Finally my father's wife said that I should quit mowing for them. I happily agreed because I don't work for free.

I got paid over 50$ for just saying someone a certain address :P

This is why when I was at my old place and was trying to do my pet business BEFORE the Pandemic I had a standard policy of 50% upfront and the rest after the job unless i knew the client for some time or the job was small. Additionally all correspondences would be in writing primed for Small Claims Court to take it from there if it would to be required.

Sadly it never grew but at least it was thought of. ?‍♂️

About 18 months ago I got paid $50 for being a "forum consultant", basically advising on add-ons and settings..

Ironically the forum never really got going.. ?
