What should and shouldn't be available to the public when it comes to your information?

I want as little as possible available to the public. That said, I'm usually good at being able to find out anything that is available about someone, and I've tracked multiple people down over the net using a years dead handle. Because of that, I try to keep a low profile but realize that using this username people with a bit of diligence will be able to get my full name, (through that) my address, phone number, make a profile of my beliefs and hobbies, email addresses and IM handles, a decent list of services I use online, and probably a bit of other information that I've not listed. I could do it. That's why I never worry about Google being the evil big brother.
 
Depends on what we are discussing. On the web on forums nothing. Personal info should be private unless you broken the laws, example rapist, in dangering another person etc... then yes the public has the right to know.
