Simple Rice

1 cup white rice
2 cups water

Rinse the rice under cold water until it's clear.
Place the rinsed rice in a microwave safe bowl. Add 2 cups of water, cover, and microwave on high until done, usually 10-15 minutes.
Carefully remove, fluff the rice with a fork, and let it sit for a few minutes.

Microwave Potato Chips

Ingredients

  • 1 large potato
  • Olive oil or cooking spray
  • Salt
  • Optional seasonings (such as paprika, garlic powder, or herbs)
Instructions

Wash the potato thoroughly and pat it dry.
Slice the potato into very thin slices. A mandoline works best for even slices, but you can use a sharp knife if you don’t have one.

Place the potato slices in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for about 10 minutes . This helps to remove excess starch and make the chips crispier.
After soaking, drain the slices and pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.

Lightly coat the potato slices with olive oil or cooking spray.
Sprinkle with salt and any additional seasonings you like.

Place baking paper (also known as parchment paper) directly on a microwave-safe plate.
Arrange the potato slices in a single layer on the baking paper. Make sure they do not overlap.

Microwave the slices on high for 3-5 minutes, depending on the power of your microwave.
Cook in 30-second intervals if needed. Some slices might cook faster than others, so you can remove those that are done and continue cooking the rest.

Remove the plate from the microwave and let the chips cool for a minute or two. They will continue to crisp up as they cool.
Enjoy your homemade microwave potato chips,:eat: or store them in an airtight container for later.

Some good advice is to talk to it as if it were a human and make lasagna.
