I have and do the following:

Motion detector lighting at strategic locations on my property.

I have timers set to go on and off at certain times. They will turn on lights, TV and radio.

I have two dogs that will always let me know when anyone is in the yard or approaching the house.

My friend has a spare key to my house in case I needed it.

I have targets set up in the backyard. There is no mistaking that I own a firearm.

All doors and windows have alarms which I have to turn off to be able to open them.

In certain windows in my house, I have WARNING ATTACK DOGS ON PREMISES
