Hug a blindfolded Muslim man?

A group have created a video which they hope will fight stereotypes and stimulate trust between people.

The clip, created by Time Vision, features a Muslim man standing in the street, blindfolded, and with a sign asking people to hug him.

While some passers-by have their reservations, many others run up to embrace the blindfolded man.

His sign reads: ‘I am labelled as a terrorist. I trust you. Do you trust me? Give me a hug.’

AsoOmii Jay, who came up wit the idea behind the video said: ‘The response was touching and inspiring.

‘We wish to break down barriers and spread awareness about Islamophobia, encourage Muslims to behave as the prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) taught us in kindness and good manners, to teach both extremist Muslims and non-Muslims that violence and terrorism is NOT Islam, and we urge non-Muslims to learn about the true Islam.’
