I agree with Cranos also. I've not gotten my identity stolen but my brother-in-law was one of the unlucky ones. This happened to him when he got his laptop stolen when his house got ransacked last year
Not sure if this counts or not. One time I posted a picture of myself and used it as my profile picture on a forum. A member there nicked my picture. She started using my picture pretending it was her. She posted it on several websites before a friend of mine saw it and told me. This woman had stalked me from forum to forum but I never thought she would stoop so low as to nick my picture!
I had to get an attorney involved and he sent her a cease and desist letter with the threat of legal court action. Part of the cease and desist involved her having to admit it wasn't her and remove my picture from all websites she posted it on. Cost me over $150 to get this psycho bitch to leave me alone.
I now have watermarked any picture of me but still am reluctant to post my picture.
