I was reading about these guys being dumped - but I bet there was more going on than one the men admitted. I don't think women would do this, that is, most women. Therefore, websites trying to use this "Idolize/Devalue/Discard" are playing on men who haven't been honest with themselves.

Before I can form any opinion can you please provide the link where you read this?
I have always idolized my mother. She taught me many things. And as for devaluing anyone I may have when something shows up about them that I came to know later. Discarding comes easily to me (lol)
