If someone broke into your home and attacked you, what would you use to protect yourself?

We don't really own any weapons, so I guess I would get something that could potentially knock them out, like a brick.

Well well well... it seems my invader is in for a rude surprise... because my state is a stand your ground state... what does that mean?

It means if you invade my house I have free reign to either beat you to a pulp or if I had no choice kill you... either or...
I'd try for the former though... crossbow bolt to the knee, sleeping dart to the back of the neck, slingshot with metal spheres to the the head, etc.
it's also fairly close quarters and I spar with family so I know the terrain well.

Suffice to say if you invade my house at least 3 things will happen.
you'll end up broken and bruised, you'll end up with my sister pointing an airsoft modified glock at the back of your head heavy enough to buldgeon you, or you'll end up bound and gagged pending police intervention.

It never hurts to be prepared. Know your terrain, if possible know your enemy... because we had someone try this once and it didn't end well for them... two of the above happened.
now if it was a more open space? I'd use the 10lb iron pole I train with as a weighted bo staf, it's great for upper body strength once you get used to it. And it would hurt a lot if not break something when it's used as a weapon.

Suffice to say home invasion was scary. Turns out the guy was high on amphetamines and was tracking a tracking device he'd put on a walker after we'd moved someone to safety. The reasoning is not important but he was sure in for a surprise given how quickly he was subdued. and since there's cameras setup to monitor the front poach and walkway we had all the proof to avoid legal scrutiny. We were asked to turn over the evidence of course for legal reasons and this was a couple years ago but it was still pretty scary.

Depends on what I can get to. I'd have to think about it if I were in my bedroom, but there's plenty of things I could use to fend off an intruder from the living room or kitchen.

I'd be screwed I suppose. Whatever blunt object I can find. Or just my fists :boxing:
