Ignoring Warnings

Have you ever had someone who breaks the rules and continues to do so despite the fact that they've been reminded of them several times?



Perhaps they brush you off or don't take you seriously?

Hasn't happened yet. Although a few months ago me and a member almost really got into it over his use of language.

Well if someone keeps doing it they are going to have to be banned. Otherwise people will say (for example) Why is he allowed to do it and I cant!?!

I do a temporary ban at first (only after numerous reminders / warnings in either their threads, PM's or infractions), it will give them a chance to reflect on their behavior and realize that if they do keep breaking the rules over and over again, there is going to be consequences. Hopefully when they come back they will shape up. Otherwise they will be shipped out for good.

Some people are thickheaded and never heed warnings. I don't know if they think it's a joke or what but these types need to go.
