My name is Gill and apart from posting words I would like to post some music from YouTube sometimes, so could somebody explain what the procedure is on this site, as it seems a little different from some other sites I have visited. Thank you.

Hello GillFB and welcome to Off Topix!

To post a YouTube video:

In your post, look for the image that looks like a television set. It's the last option on the far right. There is a drop down box that will open when you click the tv image. Just click on YouTube. That will give you a pop up and ask you to put the full URL of the video. This feature works when you Reply to this thread. The feature, however, will not work when using Quick Reply. You would need to use Go to full reply.

To add to that, if you're using Quick Reply you'll have to enter the BBCode manually like so:

Sorry, but I've tried and I get as far as the pop up to enter the URL (which doesn't C & P) and I type in the URL manually but that doesn't work either. Oh well, it's obviously not meant for me. I had such a lot of trouble getting on to Off Topix any way - it wouldn't let me use my original site name for some reason, so I had to change that ! I only tried to get in to Off Topix because I keep getting emails that I'm missed Any way, Nebulous knows why I kept away, so Nebulous perhaps you would tell the person that 'the ball's in their court'. But I won't hold my breath ! Take care everybody.

With regard to the 'URL' There is a small 'box' with space to type a URL, I type the URL as instructed but it doesn't seem to do a thing !
