What is it with impatient exchangers?! I've had a couple of PMs on a different forum, where I've got it in the neck from people. You've only done half the posts, a deal is a deal Where are the rest of your posts Its been 2 days since you were last on my forum, you've not completed the deal Then I get minus rep!!!

I've havent forgotten I just HAVE A LIFE!!!!!

God sake, it pisses me off!

Anyone else get this?

Didnt you know? Time moves faster on the internet.

  • Waiting an hour is like waiting a day.
  • Waiting a day is like waiting a week.
  • Waiting a week is like waiting a month.
  • Waiting a month is like waiting a year.

Not really. Mostly cause I never do those myself.

Seems that way

I've had this happen to me once on a bigger forum, which is why I'm not a huge fan of post exchanges to begin with. I would do like half of my post (say if it's 25/25 exchange) and then I'd take a break, and 2 hours later I'd get a PM of, why haven't you finished your posts yet?? Some of us do have lives outside the Internet, you know. Forums are not our top priority. At least they aren't my top priority anyways.

2 hours?! Blimey I thought these people were impatient at 2 days! lol

Well, I think the one I did the exchange with at the time was new to the concept of post exchanges, but I don't remember if it was 2 hours or two days. I just remember starting a post exchange to their forum, taking a break, and as soon as later that night or the next morning I'd get the PM. It's kind of hard to remember.

I hate post exchanges and only do 5/5 or 10/10 normally.

Yeah, if I have to resort to doing those, I like doing small ones like 3/3, 5/5 or 10/10. I do sometimes go overboard though lol, especially if it's a forum I really like and enjoy being active at. For example, I wouldn't mind doing an active/active exchange here at Off Topix, as I'm here almost every day anyways, but if it was a forum that I technically didn't care about, then I'd go for something a bit smaller.

I prefer doing big ones, like 25 - 50, sometimes 100.

I like doing exchanges, most people are normally ok, especially with big ones, I can't do 100 in one!

I used to always request packages. but they either don't get done, or get rejected because theres not enough staff blah blah blah.

The only way anyone can do 100/100 in one day, is if they were on the computer the whole time without any breaks! But even with no breaks, there's no way you can get all of that done. Especially if you're the kind of person who likes to take his time with his posting or what not, or if the owner of the forum likes you to do quality posts, that can take a while as well. Heck, I can't even do 25/25 in one day! The only way that's possible, again, is if it's a forum I really like and I can find loads of really great topics to reply to.

Hmm. I could do the posts easily so i'm not really bothered until they don't post for a week or two

Yea, It's not possible to do the large packages in one.

Personally I prefer to have an exchanger post a few then come back the next day and so on.

I don't believe it, Got another one chasing me up now!

I think I'm going to stay away from requesting exchanges on that certain forum! ARGRHHHHH

Honestly, I don't know why anyone would even want to do exchanges at all. It's rather pointless as all you get is crappy replies and a member who doesn't care about your board. They won't stick around and since they don't genuinely like the board means they won't post good posts on it like anyone who actually joined your board on your own. I am proud to say I never once used such a service on my board and every single member and post was made by people who wanted to be there on their own.

^ actually. I have had many people stick around. And the posts are 90% of the time good content.

Really? I guess I was just going to crappy places full of crappy people then who were like how I described the ones I seen on the boards I used to go to.

I only go to Forum Promotion now. Only place I seem to get quite a few replys.

I agree, to be honest. Which is kind of why I'm sticking to package requests. You may not get any active members out of those either, but I think I've had that happen once. It's kind of a hit and miss with both exchanges and package requests.
