IS destroys another historic church and kills 4 children

On Monday, the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) blew up a church in Mosul that was thousands of years old. In the process of demolishing the historic church, known as the Mother of Aid, the terrorists also killed four children.
According to Kurdish news site Rudaw, Saeed Mamuzini, a media officer for the Mosul branch of the Kurdistan Democratic Party(PDK), said the children were killed due to their close proximity to the explosion.

Since ISIS, which considers itself Sunni, took over Mosul, the second-largest city in Iraq, it has murdered at least 74 children. In that period that spans over one year, the group has also blown up dozens of churches and Shiite mosques.

In July of last year, the jihadist terrorist group destroyed an 1,800-year-old Assyrian Christian church in Mosul, as well as the tomb of the Prophet Jonah.
