Is racism common in your community? What forms of racist behavior have you noticed?

I haven't noticed any racism. I've noticed plethora of sexism, though.

I still know some people who use the N word when they get an oppotunity.

I was in an awkward position the other week, because I was with someone who had been called it, and she didn't know what it meant. she asked me.. what does it mean if people call me this?

I couldn't bring myself to tell her it was bad, so I just said well, it's not a very nice word- but went no further than that

Yeah, I see it sometimes. It annoys me when I hear white people complaining about mexicans. They pretty much outnumber us where I live. We are the minority!
Mexican people are awesome. They have a very warm, festive culture. Good food and like to have fun.

Yeah I’m from rural USA so it’s not to uncommon to see sadly.
I'm also from rural America (Western NC specifically) and there's still a few racist comments you hear but most people simply go about their lives. Being Appalachia, we got other problems to worry about.

Well you have to ask what do you call racism? A segment of today’s population wants to call everything and anything you do racist.
I live outside the city bordering between suburbia and the farms. Our community is people in the upper middle class and rich. We have traditional Indians, several South American countries, whites, blacks, orientals, Jewish families and people get along. During the height of the pandemic when the idiot government thought it was genius to shutdown businesses the neighborhood would have weekly garage block parties with everyone getting together. Overall most American people are not racist think about race but most of us to have biases which certain people like to call racism but it isn’t.
