ISIS have threatened to blow up Big Ben

The Islamic State have threatened to blow up iconic global landmarks such as the Eiffel Tower, the White House and Big Ben.

The shocking threat was made in a new audio broadcast by the group’s spokesman Abu Muhammad al-Adnani.

He is heard to say: ‘We will make your lives black and dark’.

The disturbing warning was repeated on Twitter by Abu Abdullah Britani, 32, a British jihadist who joined the Islamic State after fleeing the UK for Syria last year.

The threat came only days after the group announced a pledge of allegiance from Boko Haram to extend control in West Africa.

Speaking yesterday, al-Adnani said: ‘We announce to you to the good news of the expansion of the caliphate to West Africa because the caliph… has accepted the allegiance of our brothers of the Sunni group for preaching and the jihad’.

More than 20,000 Iraqi troops and Shi’ite militias are currently taking part in the biggest offensive against IS as they battle to regain control of Saddam Hussein’s home city of Tikrit.

I think they've proven themselves to be a serious threat, and with how lax security has been all over the world during many incidents, then yes--they should take it seriously. This group is unstable and will do whatever it takes to make the world see this.

At the rate they're going, they'll do that eventually...or they'll make the mistake of attacking Israel, whereupon the Israelis' will likely stomp them back into the 7th century.

Those landmarks being destroyed wouldn't really make my life "black and dark" since I've never seen them in person and they aren't anywhere near me.

But that would be sad if they did do that...
