Many school children shed sweat and tears to pursue the privilege of a top university education. But only a lucky few will make the grade and then they will have to fund it.



The tech world however is full of visionaries intent on disrupting traditional establishments.

These are the things that really make me love modern technology.

To quote the Wikimedia Foundation, Imagine a world in which every single human being can freely share in the sum of all knowledge. That's our commitment., that's the sort of world I want to live in.
 
I agree with your whole share the wealth notion, but they are called Ivy League for a reason.

Sure, like they said, this won't replace real classes, but even so. It does give thousands of people access to (basic) university-level education.
