In the 1970s, Greg Laurie and a sea of young people descend on sunny Southern California to redefine truth through all means of liberation. Inadvertently, Laurie meets a charismatic street preacher and a pastor who open the doors to a church to a stream of wandering youth. What unfolds is a counterculture movement that becomes the greatest spiritual awakening in American history.
The Hollywood Free Paper was the twice monthly newspaper of the Jesus Movement from 1969 till roughly 1975. Our website continues to be a gathering place for the Jesus People.
Here's additional background info on Calvary Church in Costa Mesa, where if I remember correctly, a good chunk of what eventually would be featured in Jesus Revolution...

The theater near me only has like 9 screens so movies are competitive. If it aint moving tix then they'll boot it out of there. If one movie is selling a ton of tix then they'll put it on almost every screen in the building. Lol

I'm guessing Marvel takes up all the screens every couple months then. I have three theaters around me (one is super fancy) so a movie usually plays at at least one for a bit longer than usual, but we also get lots of limited run movies for a night or two. Perks of living in a college town I guess.
