It really pisses me off that whether life exists on Jupiter or not it should be considered an enemy planet. I mean what are we waiting for?

Enemy planet? Why cant all the planets be freinds?

Mars, Uranus, even outcast Pluto, Im on board. Jupiter has got to be quashed.

Jupiter is unlikely to sustain life as it is made up of gases. For a planet to sustain life it needs to be made of rock like materials, like Earth and Mars.

We like to feel like we are superior to everything else in the whole universe, and the common perception of aliens makes people frightened of the possibility of life on another planet. Because of that, everything that doesn't live on Earth is considered an enemy. People are afraid that little green men with more advanced technology than us will come over here and blow us to smithereens, so destroying all of our neighbouring planets and their moons would take care of that.

Do I make sense...?

Jupiter is unlikely to sustain life because of the air. If a human were to land on Jupiter, they would be squashed by the pressure. As well as that, we wouldn't be able to breathe anyway.

Humans yes. But other life forms - possibly could survive the pressure. And many life forms do not necessarily need oxygen (air) to survive. Things such as plants and anaerobic bacteria do fine without it right here on Earth.

I hate to be a smartass, but the air we breathe is mostly Nitrogen.

The term 'life forms' isn't limited to what we have here on Earth, so it's possible that there are life forms on other planets. The thing is, if they can survive on other planets, they won't be able to survive on Earth, unless they're super-intelligent spacesuit wearing 'aliens' or E.T.

Correct. But the nitrogen and other elements are filtered and exhaled out and we use the oxygen to breathe.

Thats all fine and dandy. I still think we should attack it and leave it in ruins.

We do not have the arsenal at our disposal to attack and destroy a small planet, let alone Jupiter. Even if we could, the consequences of doing so would be catastrophic.

You are an idiot.

Just because we can do something, it doesn't mean we should. Do we humans have the technology to destroy an entire planet? Possibly. Think of the repercussions. The universe that we live in is in its current state for a reason, and just because you think that there might be little green men running around with lasers, that's no reason to get rid of the largest planet in our solar system.

If the government thinks that you might be a terrorist threat, does that give them the right to blow up your house? No. I'd go so far as to say that with one of the planets in this solar system gone, everything will fall out of rhythm and we'd all die. I don't know where you got this insane notion from, but if you're joking then you have a very poor sense of humour

Clearly Im an idiot. I dont think theres ever been any ques....................wait a minute. Im not an idiot. Its 2am and Im just amusing myself.

That's some seriously small minded thinking there.

I understand your concern, after all, how long will It be before they are trying to get Into Britain, taking our jobs, demanding welfare, wanting shrines built, abusing our home-coming troops. In fact, we must lobby out Governments now to stop this.
