I thought about all this awhile back in relation to the Marvel Universe, and one of the main responses I clearly remember is that I have to much time on my hands. This is something that I think would be a lot better then keeping status quo or whatever like that in the Marvel comics. Anyways... Let's get started.

It all begins in the 60's, say 1965 and a young Peter Parker at the age of 15 is just becoming Spider-Man after the bite from the genetically altered Spider. During this time, there is no Avengers just yet and Captain America is still frozen. The first team of X-Men started roughly 5 years before the bite happens to Peter and the Mutant Rights Fight has yet to really begun. Peter's active until at least say maybe sometime until during the 90's and then hands over the reigns to Miles Morales for whatever reason. Who then goes on to being Spider-Man for maybe 20 to 30 years until its time to step down and Miguel O'Hara takes up the mantle. Back tracking to the X-Men, the first team is active until roughly in 1979. And having met quite a few people along the way.

One of those being the 70's Disco Diva known as Dazzler who was quickly climbing the music charts. The team goes to Krakoa and only Cyclops is able to make it back and with the help of Professor Xavier recruits a new team to help him rescue his team mates from the mutated island. The new team being Wolverine, Storm, Colossus, Sunfire, Nightcrawler, Thunderbird, and Banshee. Things are a success, and the team expands minus Sunfire who goes back to Japan. For the next 5 years the team experiences loss, one of those being Thunderbird while in battle, and another being Jean Grey while in space after returning from a confrontation with Magneto on his Asteroid M. Causing Cyclops to retire for a time and meeting Madelyne Pryor. Who was secretly a clone of Jean and with the help of Mr. Sinister, manages to get Scott to marry her some months after they meet due to Psychic *however you spell that* manipulation.

During all this time, The Fantastic 4 rises in 81 and Johnny Storm in a chance meeting with the original Human Torch gains approval to use the code name. The original having been around since the 40's and serving in World War 2 along side Captain America, Namor, and Wolverine in what would be the first known incarnation of the team known as the Defenders. A team that would later inspire Nick Fury to create SHIELD in the 50's and also inspiring the creation of The Avengers in the late 80's. Captain America is later found and unfrozen in 88 and joins The Avengers. Often butting heads with some members due to what some would call Old Fashioned Thinking. Also in 88 Professor Charles Xavier recruits several new students who form The New Mutants class. A class that would have many later incarnations. They would eventually become the new X-Men due to the main team either having retired or died. Along the way, teams like X-Factor, Generation X, Excalibur, and X-Force would come around. Nightcrawler later on becoming the leader of Excalibur, Sam 'Cannonball' Guthrie *One of the first students of the New Mutants Class.* also becoming a leader of X-Force during its 3rd incarnation at one point. X-Factor itself having several incarnations one of which the first team being the original X-Men.

A later incarnation of X-Factor would be that of a detective agency. Also in the 70's the crew called Heroes for Hire would form with Luke 'Power Man' Cage being the main lead. Dazzler would occasionally use their services when she performed a show in New York as a just in case measure.

I'm gonna stop it there, but let me know your thoughts. And I imagine someone like Nicholas would enjoy this a lot.

Some of it went over my head at times because I'm not very seasoned when it comes to X-Factor and The Fantastic Four. I think one of my biggest problems with a lot of comics is that there is too many alternative universes, and pieces can't actually be fit into a specific story-arc. The other problem for me, of course, being that it's too hard to find all of the issues in chronological order. Although, I do have issues 1-30 of the Spawn comics, but that's only because my English teacher used to sell them a couple years back. Others were bought from rummage sales because I can't find anywhere that sells them. Anyway, I'm rambling, well done, and I do think that it'd be cool if they could have a strong continuity.

I think following an alternate universe would be a lot easier these days then a freaking event.
