Killing the Movie Industry

No one person gets all of a movie's total gross. There are thousands of people that have to get paid. If you're refusing to pay to view their work, then you're refusing them their wage.

I never said that they do but regardless they still get paid plenty more than I do and they don't deserve it so why would I feed their wallets when I've got a life to live just like them? I've got my mind made up and you've got yours I'm going to leave it at that, but before I leave. IT is over a decade year old I am not hurting a fly by watching the damn thing on youtube.

Oh my goodness! Over 10 years old? People have been making feature length movies for over 100 years. And by the way, it was made in 1990. The copyright is still intact.

But what is it hurting? If I would go out and buy a VCR that wouldn't give money to them sense I already have the tape and if I watch it on youtube it won't cause them to lose money sense I already bought the tape in the past and I had no interest in buying it again.

You're not hurting anything. You're fine.

Besides if it was on youtube and it hasnt been deleted yet, then its probably ok to be there. They are very strict on copyright infringement.

Exactly.

Here's the thing, Nebulous. YouTube has millions of videos on there, if not more, and the staff cannot monitor every single one. They only become aware of videos that should be removed by people reporting them - and all of the pirates don't.

They are really good about catching copyrighted vids. They have thousands of moderators.

Anyways, I suppose you think that watching a video at a friends house is immoral as well.

The way i see it, even though it may be wrong, i own around 250 DVD's at the moment, on average around $15 a DVD = $3,750.

I think i'm allowed to download a movie i haven't seen yet once in a while, just as long as your putting back into the industry, it's fine, but if you download constantly, i don't think that's right.
