Do you get annoyed by people who act like they know everything and can never be wrong?



What about people who's posts are worded in an overly intelligent manner? You can tell they are trying way too hard to sound smart and they probably don't talk like that in the real world.

I've seen this a few times on forums before. You have this person who thinks they are a complete know-it-all, they think they know everything about your site which they don't, or even if they do, they probably only know the half of it. It can be annoying at times, that's for sure.

They dont bother me. If someone is persistent enough in saying/trying to prove they are right (when I think they are wrong), chances I will just move on to the next thread/conversation. Its not really worth the time and energy trying to make someone realize they are wrong when (in their mind) they can never be wrong.

As far as people who try really hard to sound intelligent, it doesnt bother me but it does kind of make me giggle a little bit when someone is trying to be overly sophisticated in a topic about (for example) someone complaining about stepping in dog poo.

I don't get annoyed. I just avoid them like the plague.

I happen to enjoy reading posts that show the poster is intelligent in the subject matter. I have learned quite a lot over the years from such posters.
