Have you heard of the law of the jungle?

How do you feel about the idea that in nature, animals kill or be killed?

Hard to accept sometimes, but ..... that's the way the ball bounces. In nature, everything is somewhere in the food chain.

Humans live in an organised, structured society, but kill or be killed anyway, so what's the difference?

No, literally. Humans still kill each other for various reasons, so when someone tries to kill you, you might be forced to kill them in self-defense.

Also, wars. Soldiers kill or get killed. Simple as that.

Same here. Self-defense is not illegal per se, but it might as well be. If you try to defend yourself against an attacker and hurt (or even kill) him / her in the process, the attacker gets to walk free while the justice system throws you in jail.

Self- Defense,basically not allowed here.

Its crazy how backwards the laws are.

Another example is how a criminal can break into your house to rob you, they get injured in the process and sue you for their injury.

And the lawmakers keep convincing us there's nothing wrong with that.

Yup. They break the glass on your window, get cut and voila! You're in trouble with the law, and the burglar is seen as a victim in the eyes of the justice system.

Seems like they’re doing a good job of it because we keep voting on and passing the laws they make.

Even worse. Here, people keep voting for the same political party at every elections, despite the said party being convicted for conducting criminal activities several times. Several of their high-ranking members are currently in prison, or have served their time, after which they just returned to the political scene where they got reelected. Amazing and disgusting at the same time.

Seems like people have short term memories. Either that or they just vote for whoever without thinking.

That's the problem. Thinking, or rather the lack of critical thinking. Politicians purposely keep the population under-educated. Educated just enough to be of use to them, but not educated enough to start thinking critically and realize that all politicians are the same, and that the whole parties system is one huge BS, kinda like the Matrix, a world pulled over our eyes to hide the truth.

I think you're right, we are living in the Matrix! :panic:
