Leaving the house unlocked?

We live in a good neighbor hood (for now..). We generall lock the doors before going to bed and leaving the house, but we sometimes forget. Nothing's ever happened.



Our neighbors used to leave the doors completely open all day while they were at work. They'd also leave the cars running with the doors open while they were inside.. that's like saying hey come steal my car and rob my house I don't care! lol

There is a 1st time for everything. Don't ever assume just because you are in a good neighborhood / low crime area that nothing will ever happen.

Yeah, and that is why we always make sure our doors are locked if we aren't home.

In this state? Hell no. Never.

Ever left the house unlocked and unattended while you weren't home?...........I did today. I was sitting here and all of the sudden the neighbor girl walks up to me (in my living room) and asks if my daughter is here and can go play.

We have - 'inadvertently' -
Always a surprise to get home and find the place unlocked!

No, and I'm terrified I'll accidentally do it. I don't have OCD, but I often have to stop myself and open and shut the door and lock it a few times or tap on the knob with my keys while telling myself the door is locked so I know for a fact it is.

Nope. I lock up the house every morning. I don't want anyone walking in and helping themselves to the stuff we bought and paid for with our hard earned money. #lockyourhomes

Did few times in the past, went out and didn't lock the house because i forgot and happened with some windows few times too ..... but this helped also when few times i notice i didn't had my keys with me so the window was perfect to go back in the house ....

lucky no one saw me thinking i was a thief. especially my neighbour at that time ...... had a rottweiler and when something was not right always went out with the dog to check ...
