Lego, everyone loves it, so even though it is a toy, it is highly collectable series. I have never known anyone not to like Lego, so who here has owned Lego, has anyone still got any sets and better still does anyone collect it?

I have a large plastic tub full that I've had, and added to, over the years.

The last time we had them out I was laid up with a bad knee. They made being immobile almost tolerable.

But I don't have any of the new fancy models or sets. It's not a 'collection' and I don't think of myself as a Lego collector.

I also had a large tub of Legos. I brought the tub over to my local nursing home. The seniors love to build things from them and it gave me great joy to donate them.

That was rather kind of you Jazzy and gald to see the love of Lego is world wide. What theme was your favourite and why?

Awesome stuff.

Very easy instructions too, could build stuff when I was 4

I had Lego when I was a kid and loved building stuff with it... usually houses I built

Although, I used K'Nex more.

For those with an interest in Star Wars, later in the year they are bringing out the Super Star Destroyer which has over 3,000 pieces and the instructions alone ihas over 250 pages in it!!

Seen as you asked it Measures nearly 50 inches (124.5 cm) long and weighs nearly 8 pounds (3.5kg). I have just blogged about it, with photo, going to be adding more shortly.

They know it's the parents who actually wanna play

This set is geared towards the adult Lego fans, you will be shocked to know Lego sells the same if not more to adult collectors and fans then they do to kids.

I'm not too surprised, adults have money after all

Yep I am trying to talk my better half in letting me spend £100+ on a pirate ship, you can imagine her answer when I first asked her.

Yes I have, also seen a few other life size lego characters such as Yoda and Darth Vader. Would love to be a master builder and do this for a living.
