What lies have you told today? I lied today when I said I denied the claim that I need to get out more

I don't lie all the time, so that is quite a bold statement to make, I tell a lie every week or so if that which might even be a stretch and when I do lie it is nothing large.

I only lie about stupid stuff. Such as that new shirt looks great on you! or Your new hair style looks awesome

Pretty much the same. Some times its fun to lie to someone. Its just never fun being lied to when it matters.

No.

That is simply not true.

I make an effort to avoid it, and have for years.

My wife even knows to not ask me "certain questions" about her wardrobe because I won't answer instead of lying.

When I was working in a State Office, the ranking bosses knew I was probably one of the two or three in the entire building that would give them an honest opinion instead of "saying what they wanted to hear" about pretty much any given topic.

And, so far, the same holds for my presence on Off Topix. Just ask Nebulous.

I lied to my mom about being okay, but I didn't want her to worry. *shrug*

I do that too. Mainly for reasons because I don't want my parents or grandparents to feel like I go to them over every little thing.

Some times telling them what goes on every day comes off like drama, so I don't say a lot unless its need to know information and not a lot of  it is need to know. In fact, either I lie or don't say a lot of things.

If some one is forcing me for answers about me when I don't want to tell them or feel like they don't need to know. They get a lie instead or I tell them what they want to hear.

I'm not proud of it, but often the truth has ruined friendships in the past for me. I keep people close, just not as close as they think.

People, friends in the past mainly have told me that I am a very secretive person.

Well, in this case I'd prefer not to worry her any more than she already is.  If it's not that important and I feel I can handle it myself, I won't bother telling her the truth about how I'm doing.  It usually resolves itself in a day or a few anyway.
