Such is an improvement. It's probably better that any recovery to the pinnacle of in the style of your previous relationship is slower-going now, because that'll give each of you more time to think (something you cited as being a problem on your behalf). Good luck.

I think all successful relationships are first built by having a strong friendship first. Perhaps you and your GF missed that step and went straight into a more serious relationship too soon.
