The seven-year-old girl called Zea was filmed by her dad, Ryan Bowling, during a Community Festival in Ohio. She not only seemed unfazed by the man shouting at her, but relished in the moment.

The exchange was filmed a day after the US Supreme Court ruled that same sex couples should be allowed to marry across the country.

Mr Bowling added: ”She’s just decent to people because they are people. She treats others fairly, because she wants to be treated fairly. That shouldn’t go viral, it should just be who we are to each other.’

Well done Zea! :highfive:

big man...shouting at a child like that

i would have loved to have been there....high fived her, give him a mouthful back

Good for her.

That street preacher is probably an undercover homosexual himself, in denial. :P

First I did not see any yelling at a little girl.

It was a 20 second video so not sure where the word homophobic came from because nothing in that video was he shouting he hates gay people. Maybe there is a longer video to justify the horrible named headline? But I guess if you simply do no except a illegal and unconstitutional ruling you are a hater of gay people.

@TRUE LIBERTY: Another article to help you understand what happened:

Columbus, Ohio's annual music and arts festival, ComFest, happened to be taking place on Friday when the Supreme Court gave marriage rights to the nation's LGBT citizens. The fest turned into an impromptu pride celebration, as Ohioans, including 7-year-old Zea Bowling, streamed outside to celebrate.

But not everyone in attendance was there to celebrate. One band of homophobic street preachers took the opportunity to rant about hell fire and brimstone in the midst of the party.

That's when Bowling stepped in to save the day. The first grader stood in front of the preacher and wielded her rainbow flag like a talisman against evil, standing tall, as seen in the video posted to YouTube by her dad, Ryan Bowling.

The preacher leaned down into the little girl's face and yelled, "You could live a life that's filled with his redeeming power, you'd have somebody to look after you, to love you and get you through your life, Jesus Christ would give you that, this world will not give you that."

She stared bravely back into his face the entire time, holding the rainbow flag out in front of her. Soon, someone in the crowd ran up and gave Zea a high five. That started a flurry of high-fives and fist bumps, to which little Zea responded with aplomb.

Okay, still not seeing where he is saying he hates gay people to call him homophobic. Just because you do not agree with a unconstitutional ruling that overrides thousands of years of tradition and was part of holding civilization together by government forcing there way into a institution they have no business doing in no way makes him a hater. Unless you can show me him saying something like fags are evil and they bring misery upon the earth, or some such nonsense.

He's at a gay pride event. Saying what everyone is doing in their lives is wrong and they should follow Jesus instead.

Believing being gay and saying it's ''wrong'' is homophobic. (lack of understanding, or fear, or nonacceptance of a homosexual lifestyle, based on opinion and belief.

Get it now?

Sounds to me he is specifically speaking out against gay marriage not the life style the person is choosing. Even so my aunt was a Catholic nun and preached to me all time about it not being to late to be saved. Does not mean she was a atheistphobic or hated atheists. So calling the guy homophobic is a big stretch unless he is saying they are evil and should be burned at the stake, etc.
