Looks vs Personality?

Definitely personality. I look for an easy going, fun loving, adventurous and caring guy. Without these personality traits, I'd have nothing in common with him no matter what he looked like. I've learned to never judge a book by its cover. You could be giving up a really good book!
There's a lot of people that like to lie in-order to give themselves a false sense of self-righteousness by saying that looks are completely irrelevant, however, most people can see right through that facade. When you think of the person of your dreams, generally speaking, you don't think of that person as ugly. You think of that person as satisfactory to your specifications. I would say that looks are subjective, however, and that MOST people are able to make themselves presentable with a little bit of effort. For example, I'd say that I am a decent enough looking guy, but if I were to dress like a pig, I'd be considered flat-out "MEH!". However, I don't dress like a pig, and in-fact, I dress in a way that shows that I have enough pride in myself to not dress like a slob. I suppose that's what I am looking for in a girl, I don't need for them to be a model, but I need for them to actually take care of themselves.
Being overweight can be a problem, if it's excessive at least, because I'd be constantly worrying about your physical health, and quite honestly, after a point, it looks terrible and if you don't have a legitimate reason for it, it shows that you don't care about what you look like. As far as personality goes, I have a pulsating sense of humor. I wouldn't call it matured or intelligent humor, but I'd say that it is a large variation. If somebody doesn't have a meshing humor, then, it probably wouldn't be that much fun to be around them. Also, I have a lot going on in my head, not saying that I am particularly smart, but more to say that I can recite things like an encyclopedia then discuss them.
I read a lot of books, watch a lot of movies, and do a lot of research on historical facts, and a lot of my humor is in-fact "movie" references and things like that. Most importantly, I'm weird, and I need somebody else that is also weird.

Initially people are attracted to looks because that's all they have to go on. Once they get to know the other person then personality comes into play.
I think both are important but personality is more important to me. If I really loved someone and they were disfigured in an accident, I'd probably stay with them because I feel in love with the person underneath the aesthetic features.

Looks are what gets your attention and it's personality that keeps your attention. The problem is when you give too much importance to one over the other as that never leads to good places.
I would suppose that if one were to date someone online then the order would be reversed.

Looks are key for me. Known some real lookers in my day but they had the personalities of jailhouse guards and were dumb as a bag of rocks.
Someone with a great personality is a huge turn on and looks are only the wrapper and i'm looking for the contents.

And regardless of what others might think .. NO BULLSHIT THERE.

I might see a person that initially seems good looking but if I keep seeing them they stop looking 'good' and become just the face of a personality with a name. So, looks matter to me the first few times I see them, I guess. Because after then I already see them differently.
