Should the forgotten/lost texts, gospels, and books of the Christian faith be accepted, and taught alongside the Bible?

Why or why not?

No.

Many of those books are proven to be forgeries done during the Middle Ages in Europe. Such as the "Gospel of Mary", "Judas" and so on.

However, the book known as the "Gospel of Thomas" has a different origin and appears to be from the Third Century and was written in Egypt by the Gnostics and was unknown outside of that region until much later.

It is known that several letters of Paul, such as an Epistle to Laodicea and a few others are missing. They may be found in some ancient library, they may not. So it goes.

The Ethiopian Canon has several books not recognized by the Western Churches in it, and they seem to be doing just fine, thank you.
