'Love rat' dumped by banner on A1

A man has been publicly humiliated after a banner draped above the A1 told him he had been dumped by 'both' of his girlfriends.

The huge poster was attached to the bridge on the northbound carriageway in Gateshead near the Angel of the North and read: "Steve Frazer you're dumped by both of your girlfriends."

The sign included a picture of Nicola Morland and Angela Illingworth, who decided to shame the alleged love rat after realising he had been two-timing, reports the Newcastle Chronicle.

The brunettes, who bear a striking resemblance to each other, hatched the revenge plot and the story has since gone viral.

"It has been a bit of a shock how far this has gone," Nicola told the Chronicle.

"Enough is enough now. We've proved a point and it's hit him where it hurts."
