Lump in neck

I found a lump in my neck on the left side just under the jaw bone. I hope its just a swollen lymph node and I can take antibiotics to make it go away. I got a lump in the back of my head about a year or two ago and thats what it was. I was afraid that it was cancer or a tumor but it ended up to be nothing. I hope this neck lump is nothing too. Its kind of scaring me though. I am going to call to make a doctors appointment in a little bit.

Sounds like a swollen lymph gland but it's best to get it checked.

I've had this before right after I had been sick. The doctor gave me antibiotics and it went away. You've been sick recently and working all these hours just probably didn't let your body fully recover. I'm glad you are getting this checked out.

Thats what I think it is too. However last time when I had a swollen lymph node, it didnt hurt. This one hurts a little bit when I touch it.

Heck, last time I had this it killed to touch it. Even moving my neck or bending my head down made it hurt. When are you going to the doctor?

Holy crap that's a long time to wait to get this checked. It's going to get bigger and start really hurting by then. How come they can't see you before Wednesday?

Sounds to me like you are getting either pharangitis or tonsillitis. Do you still have your tonsils? Do you have a sore throat?

Throat is not soar but it was a week ago. I dont think I ever had my tonsils out.

I dont know, will wait for the doctor to tell me whats up. I can read stuff all day and think my symptoms match what they are saying.

I had this happen to me when I was really ill last year, I thought the worse reading online but it turned out that because I am highly anemic that my lymph glands swelled up due to the bodies natural defenses fighting the infection I had.
