Real talk: When I registered on this forum, I put in my date of birth as December 3th, 1995, which is not my correct date of birth. Back in the day, I was someone under the age of 13 who would lie about my date of birth to get around COPPA laws. Still, I was already 14 when I registered here, so I'm not entirely sure why I lied about that when I registered here. My date of birth has been incorrect on here for fifteen years... Literally.

Anyway, I've finally corrected that, so no more lying. :P

Anyone else have a history of fibbing about this?

I used to lie about my age to get into a local bar so I could try to drink. Got kicked out at least twice.

No, I’ve never lied about my age. Even now that I’m older, I don’t see a reason to hide it. So there’s no story here

I should start lying to lower my age, lol, but nah, never bothered. I am what I am.

I've lied about my age online a couple times when I was a teenager, but it was for extremely stupid reasons, of course. 😂 Irl, because I looked younger than I was, and my dad was a giant fucking cheapskate, he'd often pass me off for being under x age so we could get a discount or eat for free somewhere.

My parents did that for years. I was under ten years old when we went to buffets for a very long time.

I would lie about my age all the time as a kid but only to register on things that had age restriction like Facebook or certain forums. I never lied about my age when talking to someone. No point. Even did it on console when I thought they may restrict some stuff I could do on it (not at all how it worked back then. And when it started to work that way I was of age lol).

But yeah. You're not the only one.
