How would you change the education system to promote interest in literature?
 
Starting over is one thing and something the administration has tried to do a couple times. People have opinions on what should happen, but they never give their ideas. How exactly should things be started over? What should be changed? What should stay the same? Give some concrete ideas before you throw out half-hearted opinions. This is why American education is horrible, because too many people don't care to put effort into it. And they elect idiots into office who don't know what they're talking about.
 
Get kids reading I guess. Honestly though, it's pointless if the kids in question don't want to read.

That aside, you could read to them. Start a series and then don't finish it. A cliff hanger might inspire some reading.
