Man divorces wife over deformed nipples

A man in Australia has said he wants to divorce his wife of over 36 years because he didn’t know she had deformed nipples before they got married.

The unnamed couple got married in 1972 and they had three children together before separating in either 1999 or 2011, depending on whose version of events you believe.

He says it ended in 1999 but a court in Canberra heard they continued to go to family and friends events together until 2011, according to the court papers.

He wrote in legal papers: ‘The person I lived with before our marriage was a fake, an illusion.’

He said that his wife avoided sex that ‘reinforced her true prudish character… to avoid her disfigurement being discovered.

‘I did not see her breasts, until late 1974 [when] I discovered [she] had a physical disfigurement.’

He said that had she not been pregnant she would have divorced her sooner, despite continuing to have sex with her for at least another 24 years.

In fact she had the disfigurement corrected so that she could breast feed.

A judge ruled last week that the relationship had ended in 2011. He divided their assets equally but added that disfigurement was not grounds for divorce.
