It's ridiculous to plan life out like that. I can't say I won't be with the same person forever, just like I can't say I will. This is why it's no use to get married anymore IMO.

Of course, by all means, live in the moment, but to expecting a relationship to end and expecting to be with someone else later on is no way to enjoy or ever be satisfied with your current relationship.

Not getting married is the same as expecting a relationship to end?

I didn't say that, I'm replying to this:

No, more the "the one" part. I doubt I could be in love with someone forever.

Just being realistic. Over half of the marriages fail, so yes I have my doubts. Going into a relationship with the expectancy to break up at one point is something different entirely though.

Is it? Saying that you think you're incapable of being in love with someone 'forever' is pretty much the same thing.

That depends on the personality your partner may have. If there are a lot of differences, that relationship will likely not be 100% stable.

Having doubts and being incapable of are again 2 different things.

It depends on a lot of stuff. Personality, goals, outlook on life, etc etc. Sometimes people also just fall out of love. I again don't see a reason to be legally bound to someone.

So you are capable, just afraid of commitment. :P

xD maybe, but as far as marriage is concerned I just don't see the point. It's an outdated ritual that has no meaning for me.

Well in some places if you're settled in with someone for years, have kids, etc, etc... after a certain amount of time you'll be legally married by default (common law marriage).
