I am just a groundskeeper and I make more than the IT people who work for the city. But then again I am out there doing a physical job while they're just clicking a mouse all day. I deserve more money. I am out there sweating to death and breaking my back while they are in a nice air conditioned building drinking Starbucks.

Plus, the IT field is grossly underappreciated in my country. People think that once they buy a computer, they're set for life, and are left stunned when they realize it's an ongoing investment. Interestingly enough, they consider it perfectly normal to buy a new car every couple of years.

I had my last car for a decade

Computers I tend to get a new one every couple years or so, though. I bought my current computer in 2021.

Massages here in the USA are expensive as hell. I've seen Youtube videos of a guy getting them done for about that, maybe a bit more. Still relaxing and enjoyable to watch IMO.
