Have you ever met a boyfriend or girlfriend's parents?

What kind of impression did you make?

Did/do you like their parents? Did/do they like you?

Yes. It doesn't always work out. Most of the parents I met were not very fond of me. My ex wife's entire family did nothing but give me shit for 10 years. I really didn't appreciate it.

Parents usually love me. My BF’s mom has called me her “son” / part of the family a few times. She always asks how I’m doing if she hasn’t seen me in a few days.

Aww, what did they have against you?

Never been in a relationship long enough to find out :)

Aww, what did they have against you?

My ex wife left her fiance and got with me shortly afterwards. He accused her of cheating on him with me. Which did not happen. She had stated that they had too many issues and that she was sick of dealing with him and his anger outbursts. He went to her family and complained. Her family bought his story, sided with him, and ever since then I was hated on. She was staying with me, they showed up at my residence, and forced her to go with them. 7 months later, her mother and sister boycotted the wedding. Eventually, the entire family started giving me shit about every little thing I said or did. It got even worse when we had kids. Things never got better up until the divorce. I'm still putting up with their shit over custody visitation with the kids.
