For those who work or live near the water, what is the weirdest or strangest thing you’ve seen in/on/near the water?

It's kinda gross, but a few years ago we did a family canoe ride down a nearby river about 10-15 miles from me - and there was a dead sheep that had probably got itself stuck down the banking.. ?

Otherwise it's generally the same old abandoned supermarket trolleys and baskets!

Lots of trolley and baskets, couple of push bikes... the usual :D

:ROFLMAO:As expected with any river/canal in the UK.

Nothing interesting for me to say, unfortunately. I don't really work or live near any places with large amounts of water :(.
Sinking ship, :p does that count at times lol.
Was it a big ship?

Not last year but the year before, the river near me flooded and anyone near the river had damage to their house or business. My house wasn't one of the ones that got damaged, thankfully. But a lot of people had damage and there was a lot of times you couldn't go to certain places because the flooded river had overtaken the roads.

We live near the sea and there was a body washed up a few days ago. That's the weirdest for me.

Nothing really strange, I see seals in the river sometimes though.

Oh, and when I lived back at home there was a guy in the town who used to get up and go for a naked swim at about 5 in the morning every day, winter, summer, rain, sun whatever. I was very rarely up that early, but I did happen to be driving past and see him doing this thing a few times. He was pretty strange I guess.

I used to live in a coastal area of my country. The only problem that we encounter is the big flood during typhoons.
