Off Topix is a well established general discussion forum that originally opened to the public way back in 2009! We provide a laid back atmosphere and our members are down to earth. We have a ton of content and fresh stuff is constantly being added. We cover all sorts of topics, so there's bound to be something inside to pique your interest. I remember quite a bit from Forum Advertiser! The name just makes me feel nostalgic. I had vaguely been there for the old milestones when it was on the freeforums.org host, and remember pretty clearly when the site had just reached 100 members (Though I hadn't joined until it was at 120 or so) and made 10,000 posts.
It was an exciting day for me when I got hired as a reviewer there. I still feel honored for even being a staff member, as it was something I would have never imagined to be a part of when I first started my own website. I absolutely loved doing reviews and it was always pretty fun to observe different websites or forums every time I logged in. So many fantastic memories of working with the wonderful staff members!

I remember when I first joined, and soon after I became Package Staff. I remember doing 1 package, and them becoming inactive, and I ended up getting fired. Later on I came back, and applied for the Review Team a few times. It was, I think, December 2008 when I got my job as a reviewer, and I got straight to work and cleared out the backlog. I had a good run of a few months, until March or April 2009.
I remember that by the time I was promoted to Administrator I had finished over 50 reviews, averaging one every two or so days. Being an Administrator made me feel great - I felt like a valuable asset to the FA Community, and was intent on succeeding. Unfortunately, I couldn't be active enough to fulfil the requirements of the job, and I resigned from my position. I think I was on the Global Moderator team, but I asked to be an Elite Member instead. I was finished with the responsibilities of completing services and looking after a community that I didn't have enough time for.
I have some nice memories of by run as a Reviewer. I remember Pink Day, when Forum Advertiser was given a pink skin and all of the staff members had pink names. I think this was for Valentine's Day, although I'm not entirely sure, and it was great fun being in a new colour for a day. I remember being an utter post addict, making 100+ posts daily with Nebulous, and usually Rocko (you know, the nuisance). I think I had over 4000 posts when Forum Advertiser shut down, and I was in 3rd or 4th position of the top posters.
I was a bit surprised when Forum Advertiser (and The Island) shut down - I think it was midway through last year. I hadn't been awfully active in the community, but I knew I would miss posting on Nebulous's forums. We sent a few emails to eachother over a couple of weeks, until I was asked to join his new forum, Off Topix. I didn't hesitate to sign up.

Oh yeah, that was that April Fools' joke that the guys played on us. The feedback section was full to bursting with all our comments and complaints, and then the whole staff was like, what?? I don't see anything! It all looks fine on my computer. LOL. Then we had members saying they'd leave and not come back again, all because of the skin. I remember most of the skins that we could choose from were gone, and I myself was ticked because I wanted my Xbox skin because I was tired of the Hello Kitty one. Good times, man, good times.
