Miley Cyrus' booty-shaking VMA performance gets quite the reaction

There's a lot to say about Miley Cyrus' provocative booty-shaking, twerk-heavy MTV Video Music Awards performance from Sunday night. This was one performance that won't be forgotten very quickly. This after Cyrus, 20, gave Robin Thicke, 36, a lap dance, paraded around with dancing bears, twerked her butt off and grabbed her crotch a few times. Not to mention the tongue. We saw a lot of that.

Thicke's mother, Gloria Loring, told OMG! Insider, "I don't understand what Miley Cyrus is trying to do. I think she's misbegotten in this attempt of hers. And I think it was not beneficial." She added, "I didn't get what her point was. It was so over the top as to almost be a parody of itself."

I read a good synopsis, I can't actually find it but I'll summarize.

Basically, it stated that from a young age, Miley Cyrus has been controlled by Disney. Can only be friends with certain people, has to keep her hair a certain length, wear certain clothes, etc. Her life wasn't her own life to live. Now she's free of that, she's trying to act out to test what a "normal" 20 year old is like (trust me, if you lived in my area you'd see this sort of thing all the time on Friday nights after a piss-up).

I pity her more than anything, but I will say this.

I thinks she has been very poorly advised. face it, there are some people that stuff works for, and others it does not work for.. it does not work for her

OK, I finally saw the video of her 'dancing' with the guy last night.

I guess the mainstream media is more upset with her 'shocking' Will Smith's kids than they are with her depiction of Anal Sex on live TV.

I can understand her wanting to break free of the whole " Montana " thing. But as far as i'm concerned she doesn't have any real talent and with that she's using her body to give her fans what her talent can't.
But sex does sell and it makes for good media coverage and as anybody in the public eye knows " even bad publicity is sometimes "good " publicity ".
