Minority Schools

No, seriously we are all human beings, different skin color/race should not matter.

No. The same problems, like bullying will still be around. So having seperate schools won't be the answer. Plus it could deprive the kids of the chance of an insight in different culture's lifestyles firsthand, and possibly becoming more understanding of others.

No... it's kinda rude.

When there are disruptive, uncaring, rebellious students who go to school to score their next hit of heroin or crack, they create an environment less conducive to learning and more conducive to slinging dope.

Don't you think these are the people who'd benefit most from a good education?

The real question here is: How did these people turn out this way?

Who's neglecting their duty preventing this kind of behaviour?

And if you set up a school just for people who act like this, how good do you expect their education to be? Who'll be willing to teach them?

They won't learn a thing, which might just start the cycle anew, creating poor people in bad areas who won't get a proper education.

It might be a good thing to have Minority schools. If minorities feel comfortable in their surroundings, perhaps they will do better in school and learn more. If being around people who look just like them and having a teacher who looks just like them is what it takes, then more power to them!

Have you read The Freedom Writer's Diaries? (yeah I know, school forced me)

Anyway, the teacher won't be just like them, they'll have had an education.

Huh? I said look like them as in they will be the same nationality.

I said feel comfortable in their surroundings

are you even reading what Im saying?

But why should they feel comfortable just because of that?

Besides, if they don't respect the teachers how're they ever going to learn anything?

Im saying that I think a minority would flourish better if he/she was surrounded by people who were just like him/her instead of being singled out as being different or feeling out of place because everyone looks different.

Granted not everyone who is a minority would feel this way but for those who do or those who would prefer to be in a school where everyone has something in common, they should be able to go to a school like that. Whatever generates the best results for the children's education is what is important.

While I doubt it'd make a difference, you are correct.

Education is important. Very important.

Too bad it isn't better though.
