Because Americans have split heavily on what is morally right and wrong. We’ve split like the Grand Canyon without even remotely having the same opinions on what is the role of government and personal freedoms from my money, my personal property and defense of one’s self. So no there is no longer any common ground.Okay, but why such strong polarization, like the opposite sides of a magnet? Is there anything both sides can agree on, some common ground, or is it just the mutual 'we're right, you're wrong' back and forth accusations with neither side at least trying to see the other one's viewpoint?
