First off, this is a debate between your mom and your dad. Who do you like best and why? I like my mom better because she's best to talk to. But i like my dad too. I know he genuinely cares about me.

I take it your parents are divorced? You are of legal age now so how does your mother have such control over your life?

You dislike your father for wanting you to help out around the house and dislike your mother for being overprotective? Sounds like they love and care about you very much!

Demanding their son to not be a lazy bum is a true sign of love. If he let you do whatever you want then that would be a sign he didn't care. As for your mother, she could see that the people you want to be with aren't good people to be with so it's not so easy as to say they just want to make you miserable. This sort of thing doesn't start making sense till you get to anywhere near my age(I am 30).

To be honest, I think this is a... how do I say it -- stupid topic? How could have favoritism within your own family, especially your own parents? Shouldn't families have equality within each other?

Would you like your parents to choose the bin man over you? Would appreciate Mum liking the jeweler woman over you because he gave her a necklace half price? Would you like you Dad to prefer his next-door neighbors over you? If you wouldn't mind this... Uh... I don't know what tp say.

My point here is that families should have equality and no one should think of anyone higher than anyone else.

I've always been closer with my dad. He's my role model in life. When my parents broke up, I chose to stay with my dad.

I personally can't pick a favorite. They both love and care for me. But my dad is more understanding and easier to talk to. But my mom isnt the one who drank and drove and cost my family all of our money. But I love them both equally.
