Who is the single most globally recognizable human who ever lived? Excluding Jesus.

Jesus (peace be upon him) wouldn't be it anyway, given there is not and should not be a true depiction of him.

This is somewhat off-topic but still interesting to me: the McDonald's golden arches are the most recognizable symbol in the world: http://www.businessinsider.com/amazing-facts-mcdonalds-2010-12?op=1

Which means Ronald McDonald might be the most globally recognizable human if he were to reanimate.

On topic: I would say

He just spent 8 years continuously pissing off just about everyone in the world.

The Coca Cola logo.

Really though it's probably going to be someone like Obama, because of how much more access there is to any type of media recently in history and how many people there are on the planet nowadays.

guys read the op

Maybe in the US, otherwise I absolutely disagree.

I think there's a good chance most adults would recognize Abe.

They may not be able to come up with his name, but they'd know that they SHOULD know who he was.

Of course, the same thing could be said for Albert and Adolph.

Shouldn't there be somebody on the list that doesn't have an "A" as the first letter of their first name?

Well... ... as much as I hate to say it... I'm not sure about The Duke.
