We don't have a TV in our house. However we do download things we like to watch. At the moment we download Eureka and Warehouse 13 and I download Medium.

We also download films. I really like action-adventure films with a bit of comedy thrown in. I like all the Die Hard films, National Treasure, etc. I love Nicolas Cage and Sandra Bullock, so I've watched their films.

Does anyone have any films they could recommend for Christmas? Something you really enjoyed?

I like chick flicks too, so Sleepless in Seattle, Notting Hill, While you were Sleeping, etc, are all favourites.

Any favourites you can recommend?

Bad Santa is a good Christmas one, not for kids though.

Christmas Vacation, Elf and Jingle all the Way are also very good.

Some of the Christmas films I really enjoyed are:

Funny Christmas Films:

Christmas With The Cranks

Elf

Home Alone

Old Classic Favorites:

It's A Wonderful Life

Christmas Story

Miracle On 34th Street

Ground hog day

I second [National Lampoon's] 'Christmas Vacation' Holiday Rooooaaaaaddddd....

Other favourites? You might find that the Dirty Harry movies have some comparison to Die Hard...I watched what I thought was a pretty awesome movie about the IRA and our (Eire) war for independence, but you might not enjoy that as much given your locale - and you might've seen it already (it was a film produced over there)...even if I've seen them already, I like watching 'series' of movies that have come out, like the Hannibal movies (not exactly holiday, nor kid-friendly lol). Have you seen the Da Vinci Code, and Angels & Daemons? They draw somewhat of a comparison to the National Treasure films...randomly just now, the Breakfast Club popped into my head. Apocalypse Now is epic...

Action movies with some ironic comedy that you might like are movies like Pulp Fiction, No Country For Old Men or for pure action you might like to watch The Bourne Trilogy.
