MP3 Player Problem

I have a problem with my mp3 player.. Ive had it for around 3 or 4 years now and its worked just fine.. Now, the sound only comes from one earpeice and the other doesnt work.. Ive bought different headphones and the problem still happens. Obviously its not the headphones, its the part you plug them in to... Ive blown air in there because maybe there is dust in there or something and its having a bad connection.. But that doesnt work. How do I fix this?

I can't give you advice on what to do. All I can say is that I've had my iPod for about 3 or so years and haven't had a single problem with it.

What is the make and model of your mp3 player?



If the connection is broken, there won't be a lot you can do save getting another mp3 player, unless you're handy with circuit boards and solder. If you are handy with that sort of thing, then perhaps you could either fix the existing headphone socket or replace it with a new one.

Its a philips.. Im not sure on the model.. It says 'GoGear' on it though.

I had this problem with mine, I dropped it out the car as I was getting out and my friend opened it up and some of the solder joints had come off, I just quickly soldered them back together and it worked fine.
